Permanent Cosmetic Makeup
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does permanent cosmetics last?
This procedure is permanent, although some clients will experience fading over time and will choose to return for touch-ups. This is typically done anywhere from 1-5 years after the initial procedure.
Is the procedure painful?
Not at all. In some cases, a topical anesthesia is used which makes the procedure far more comfortable than one would expect. As an R.N., Kris is trained to perform local anesthesia to make the procedure pain free.
What colors should I choose?
Consideration is taken for a client's hair color, skin tone, and eye coloration, so there is a right tint or shade of make-up for everyone. For most, a soft natural color is preferred.
Will I have to take time off work?
Although a week is needed for the procedure site to heal, you will experience only minimal swelling and redness, and only a few days off from work is necessary. Clients who work Monday through Friday generally take off early on Friday for the procedure and return to work on Monday. Ice will help reduce swelling and vasaline can be used for a few days after.
What about health and safety precautions?
Only single-use, sterile needles are used, and all other supplies are single-use and discarded. Strict OSHA sanitary disinfection standards are maintained. As an R.N. with ICU and ER experience, Kris knows how to protect the client and herself from blood borne diseases.
